Good luck in your job search Roger!! I am sure you will have something soon!!
I am in the same boat as you right now. I was tired of working for an idiot (my last day there was Thursday), so starting Monday I am also looking for something new.

Twice in the last six months, My wife & I haved faced homelessness. It is a very scarey & stressful thing to have to go through. I think most people take thier job and savings for granted, not realizing how an injury or a job disruption, can drain a meager savings account, and the bills NEVER slow down because your a little short on cash.
I now know how important it is to donate what ever you can to the local charities and Churches. they have keep us from ending up on the streets by helping with a power bill and a bag of Mac & Cheese and Rice, crackers and canned veggies.
Ok The sermon is over Now for some good news, I started a job on Monday night. It is at a factory that prints and sends out about 75% of Americas junk mail. I am working through a Temp service for about $4. less than full time, and we get all of the ***** jobs. My hands are so sore and covered in paper cuts.
By accepting this job I have forfieted my disability claim, and I am worried to death I am not going to keep up. It is hard on my back and my feet are killing me ( when I get my first check, I gotta get me a pair of those "gellin" insoles), But I am bound & determined to keep this job, to make a better life for me & my wife.
just wanted to let you know
Great news Rog! Except for the part about forfeiting your claim! That sucks!!!
I hope the job works out. Have you tried one of those elasticized back supports. When I had my back problem it helped a lot!
Gellin' "like Magellin" should help those footsies.
From now on I'll think of you when I am sorting through my junk mail!
Good luck, my friend!

Sorry I hadn't PMed but my gosh, I'm so outta shape, I come home wolf down a sandwich and a shower & its beddy bye. I get up have breakfast, run an errand or two (they never stop) & its time to go back in.
The plant I work at has NO clocks at all, It works on bells for breaks & lunch. I hated at first, but you be surprised how fast a shift goes by when you don't have one eye on the clock
